About American Chemical Systems

The story of American Chemical Systems is one of steady, strategic growth—built not just on products, but on partnerships.

Founded in 1994 as a division of Wickham Enterprises, LLC, ACS began with a focused mission: leasing commercial dish machines from a single service location in mid-Missouri. From those humble beginnings, we’ve grown thoughtfully and intentionally, guided by our commitment to service and collaboration.

In 1997, we expanded into Kansas and Oklahoma, opening three new service centers and introducing our own line of specialty chemical products. This marked the beginning of a shift—from being a service provider to becoming a comprehensive solutions partner for food service and industrial clients.

Between 1997 and 2002, we broadened our reach and deepened our capabilities. Our chemical product line grew to include more than 100 specialty items, and we launched our own custom chemical dispensing system—an innovation that set us apart. With each new customer and every new team member, we strengthened our commitment to being more than just a supplier—we became a trusted partner.

By 2002, a new location in Kansas City brought our full-service model to even more communities. And in 2005, we welcomed the customers of two acquired chemical companies into the ACS family, reinforcing our belief that great growth happens through strong relationships.

Today, American Chemical Systems operates from eight strategically located services centers across seven Midwest states.  Our dedicated team of full-time service and sales professionals provides personalized support, prompt delivery, and expert care to every customer—whether you’re a restaurant, nursing home, hospital, school, industrial facility, or distributor.  With regional coverage and responsive service, ACS ensures that your operation runs smoothly, efficiently, and without interruption.

Our growth has always come from one place: the partnerships we build and the trust we earn.

In 2023, American Chemical Systems expanded into a new 72,000-square-foot facility, marking a major step toward our goal of becoming a fully self-contained operation. With the addition of injection and blow molding capabilities, we now control the entire process—from chemical formulation and blending to container manufacturing, labeling, packaging, and shipping.

This vertical integration allows us to offer custom-blended solutions tailored to any need, with flexible packaging options including gallon buckets, one-gallon jugs, and quart containers. Our fully automated fill lines for one-gallon and quart sizes ensure efficiency, consistency, and scalability—whether you’re ordering for internal use or seeking a turnkey private-label solution.

At ACS, we are equally committed to environmental responsibility and ethical practices. All of our products are environmentally acceptable for drain disposal and never tested on animals.

We don’t just manufacture cleaning products—we build trust through quality, sustainability, and custom solutions designed to meet the unique needs of your operation.
